Mama's Boy

Mama's Boy

Dear Sugar
My boyfriend and I have been together for two years. The beginning of our relationship was rocky but ever since it's been smooth - until now. It seems that his mother is super needy and she makes him choose between spending time with me or with her. She's opinionated and rash, but no matter what, he always agrees with her. It makes me so angry that he won't stand up to her in front of me. The three of us live together and I am paying half of the bills. I can't stand paying for her anymore either. What should I do? Big Thinker

Dear Big Thinker
I don't know how old you are, but you and your boyfriend don't need to live together with his mother...especially if you guys aren't married. If talking to him about it isn't getting you anywhere, I'd find my own place and move out. Once he realizes that he is going to forever lose girlfriends because of his Mother, he'll have no choice but to tell her to tone it down.
