Obama on the Daily Show

Lighten Up: Obama Hits the Daily Show

On the eve of the big rumble in PA, Barack Obama joined Jon Stewart via satellite for a kind of serious discussion — by Daily Show standards anyway. I kept trying to see if Jon had Larry King hiding under his desk feeding him questions. If you're a fan, you'll dig it. It's a two-parter — the giggles come at the end of each.

Oh, and to see what Obama would sound like selling cell phones, (I know you're all dying to know!)

.

What do you think? I say fun, but it's probably no Colbert Bump!

I don't know that I would say it's terrifying. "Real news show people" aren't always as objective as they should be and don't always report everything. I think Colbert and Stewart deal with "real news" in a funny, more relatable way. It's not like they're making up stories about the candidates...

Sadly, I think Stewart and Colbert have been just as informative as the Democratic debates here of late...which is to say, they haven't been.

That was pretty funny. In re: to side debate, I don't think emotions should be entirely discounted when making decisions. Our gut reactions and instinct provide valuable information and should not be overlooked.

"I just heard on the news that 43% of young people say they form their opinion on who to vote for from the likes of the Daily Show and Colbert...That is TERRIFYING."Terrifying, but not surprising.

It's all "what do I feel" instead of "come, let us reason together."People use feelings where they might want to consider using reason and wisdom.Scary.

I LOVE Jon Stewart, and this was a classic Daily Show Interview. I liked it much better than the Hillary Clinton interview a few weeks ago.
