Obama Urges Supporters Not To Demonstrate At Rules Committee Meeting At Saturday's big meeting on how to handle the Michigan and Florida delegates, one thing the Obama campaign doesn't want is protests. The campaign is urging its supporters not to demonstrate at Saturday's highly anticipated Democratic National Committee (DNC) meet up. In an internal campaign email obtained by The Hill, the Obama campaign states, "We look forward to the meeting proceeding smoothly — and we're asking our supporters not to show up to demonstrate, passionately as they feel about this campaign." Here are more details about seeing the meeting happen.

well if wanted breaking news via huff po, we'd read huff po. I just find it hard to grasp that no one else is breaking stories...

They should just get a loop cd of Hillary saying in October, "Of course they won't be seated" "Over course they won't be seated" "Of course they won't be seated". But Obama has more class than that! It kind of irks me she is making such a big deal out of this. Where were the demonstrators in the months BEFORE the vote? Who is standing up for the people who didn't vote because they were told months before that it would not count?

I agree Hots. This shows we he should be the democratic nominee.

I can't imagine Hillary doing the same! I'd be SHOCKED! At least someone is taking some sort of responsibility to the party.

I think this is in part due to the fact that even with a full Florida and Michigan delegation, with numbers most favorable to her, Hillary still has virtually no shot at winning the nomination and Obama is secure enough with that. It's clear Hillary's only recourse is to legitimize the two rogue states, count their popular vote in her column, give Obama nothing in Michigan, discount the caucus goers in Nevada, Washington, Iowa, and Maine, and claim the popular vote lead and use it as a card against the superdelegates. Democratic party be damned.

There are of course other news sites and we do try to include an array--we do tend to go with stories wherever we see them first. Trying to keep you guys in the "first to knows." But we do have an eye to variety too :) There's a link to MSNBC in this one too...

I have a very serious question, how come all the small posts are from huffpo or wonkette? Is there an automatic feed or something? are there no other news sites?
