Officials: FBI Investigates ACORN For Voter Fraud The FBI is investigating whether the community activist group ACORN helped foster voter registration fraud around the nation before the presidential election. A senior law enforcement official confirmed the investigation to the Associated Press on Thursday. A second senior law enforcement official says the FBI was looking at results of recent raids on ACORN offices in several states for any evidence of a coordinated national scam.

Didn't Obama speak to ACORN 6 times? Yes, he did. But who cares? I don't hole that against him. Politicians speak to people all the time. I don't think the Obama camp has anything to do with ACORN, but I don't think ACORN shoudl be allowed to register anyone ever again. And you know what? No one will suffer because they can get register by one of the other 100 organizations that do it.

Grasping at straws I see, steph. Speaking at one event that was for multiple groups and being their lawyer and donating tons of money, yeah, they are the same. :oy:

So, as taxpayers, we are funding an organization that rewards people for fraud. Excellent.

"ACORN says laws in a number of states require it to submit all registration cards it collects even dubious ones, so its workers segregate applications with missing, suspicious or false information and flag them so state election officials can quickly check them further."A great deal of fuss over nothing of importance.

McCain didn't have any problems calling himself a friend of ACORN at one of their meetings in 2006, and there had been complaints in 2004 - and any mass voter registration is going to draw complaints from anyone who thinks that most of the mass might not support them. How would Obama benefit from phonied registrations? It gets a worker paid extra money but it doesn't mean that extra votes are going to be cast, especially by people named Mickey Mouse.

Maybe I am just naive.. but it seems to me that this looks like a case of those people that sit out in parking lots of big box stores, sometimes in the heat and cold.. got lazy and wanted a short cut to get paid..so they took multiple names, made up names, wrote names out of the phone book etc, Mickey Mouse and Tony Romo so that they could get paid... which means Acorn is the victim and those minimum wage or less workers broke the law. Do you really think someone with a fake Tony Romo ID or Mickey Mouse was going to show up to vote? And Acorn by law must submit all voter registration forms whether they are true or false that is the law.. their procedures called for them to attempt to verify each card and mark them as false, suspicious or verified. So how can the FBI investigate that? Check the ones that they marked as verified to see if some false ones slipped through. Or wait until election day and attempt to nab Mickey Mouse when he comes to vote? Do they think they will find a file that says.. feel free to write in your friends names, Disney characters and the Dallas Cowboy line up to get paid? And McCain was for Acorn before he was against them.. gotta love elections season flip flops.
