Palin says Obama Regrets Bypassing Clinton

Click to Read

Palin says Obama Regrets Bypassing Clinton Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin said Friday she thinks Barack Obama regrets not making Hillary Rodham Clinton his running mate. Palin praised Clinton's "determination, and grit and even grace" during the Democratic primaries, sounding an altogether different note than when she suggested earlier this year that the New York senator was whining about negative press coverage and campaigning in a way that was not advancing the cause of women in politics. "I think he's regretting not picking her now," Palin told ABC News.

".its so like silly women not to stand up for another woman and fall for a pretender" Ediann it is even siller to vote for a woman simply because she IS one, and I could further say it is sexist to whine about how Hillary was treated just as it is for those who cry "foul" on anything said about Palin that they don't like. As if political experience and substance is a gender issue? Nonsense. Hillary gave what she got, and in spades, as any normal politician would do under the circumstances. I am all for women getting their fair share in the world of politics but to make it truly fair means they must be treated equally - for better, or worse.

ediann, I didn't realize you could "earn" the VP slot! Amazing, I always though it was the choice of the nominee! And if she wanted to earn it, maybe she and her husband should have spent less time badmouthing Obama. Why would he pick someone who had been so vehemently against him for months and months? And, it's pretty simplistic to say that women should support Hillary because she's a woman. Are you voting for Palin now just because she's female?

By saying that, she's admitting that she's only there because she's a woman. Even she knows it.

I'm not offended. I just think it is incredibly childish. All I did was give fair warning of how your arguments will be accepted given that you use such nomenclature.

"McSame/Failin'" Yes, but if you want to be taken seriously in the least name calling shouldn't be part of your argument.

I gotcha Adrena. I think even in a relatively small group like this, though, you'll get a huge variety of opinions on what's appropriate or polite.

I love myself too much to allow McCain or Palin to have center stage on my avatar.

^LOL! I'll stop. I just dislike people calling me out for using words. If your going to debate an issue, I'm cool with that. But telling me I'm rude for using the words McSame/Failin' when they're are far worse things said is plain ridiculous. And I know I contributed to some of that ridiculousness, but at least you know where I stand.

"It's a free country" is...I don't even know how to describe it. Egregiously overused, misused, and just reminds me of being 5. Yes, it's a free country. Dave's free to ask people to be polite. You're free to use icons that poke fun at McCain. I'm free to dress as Osama bin Ladin for Halloween if I like or put my fingers in my ears and go, "9-11! 9-11! 9-11!" if I don't like what you're saying.

It's only rude to McSame/Failin'. Stop being so sensitive. Seriously...it's why lipstick gate was a total FAIL!
UnDave35 UnDave35 7 years
Wow, I make a statement that is resounded by many others, and I'm told to get over it. How about you tell the libs that don't like the negative Obama avatars then? I agree it's a free country. Being free doesn't mean you can't be polite.
Adrenalynn75 Adrenalynn75 7 years
OMG...get over it, UD! I've seen few avatars around using the same names. Look at my avatar for goodness sake!!! Give me a break. It's a free country! That's what makes America great!
