MGMT, I think you have not followed my postings. I was responding to a statement that oil was the reason that we went into Iraq. I was pointing out that if oil was the sole concern of the U.S. we would have had an easier and cheaper time with taking over Mexico's off shore oil. I was NEVER suggesting such an action was either right or desirable.
MGMT MGMT 6 years
many Mexicans would disagree with you, their oil their right !
Grandpa Grandpa 6 years
On the contrary, Mexico would have been a much easier target, and remember I said the off shore oil, not an invasion or occupation of Mexico City, or any other Mexican city for that matter.
MGMT MGMT 6 years
mexico isnt an easy target its right next to the USA and if you invaded you will have the fight on your own soil, main reason is the world was duped into believing iraq had wmds but none were found and even bush and powell said it was a lie and false info was given to the UN. iraq easy target = easy money for oil!!

If there is a more isolated populated part of the world then FATA, I haven't heard of it. If securing Iraqi oil was the reason for going into Iraq, I think it would have been simpler, and more economical to take over Mexico's off shore oil fields and rigs. Not only would it be a 1/2 world closer, but a hella lot easier to defend.

That young girl has the most amazing eyes! Wow! I can hardly stop looking at her...

The red lines on the girls hands are just scratch marks .Its a harsh climate and she is living in basic conditions and in poverty .What surprises me is that we never have concerted efforts to address this poverty. And before someone says its not our business.......Africa seems to be everybodys business and worse is that we took war to Afghanistan. They were at rock bottom then and we just bombed them into the ground. The women are extremely beautiful but they do not have the basics of food, shelter, running water or warmth .

sbk... the military spending was over budget. It is was one of the first thing that Gates did when he first came on board. It was ridiculous out of control and we were spending money of things that we weren't even using. and I'm all for increasing troops in Afghanistan, we never should have taken the focus of it in the first place, because the Taliban is now back in even bigger numbers.

"More Troops Headed to Dangerous and Picturesque Afghanistan " Ummmm, aren't all warzones dangerous? Nya - I agree that their eyes are gorgeous, almost hypnotizing.

iran, iraq, syria, pakistan, afghanistan, maybe you should be looking into saudi arabia and not all these countries. Anyway Afghani women are some of the most beautiful it's such a shame they had to and some still have to wear the burqa because their eyes are fabulous.

We don't particularly care about Afghanistan. What we care about is the nuclear weapons that are in neighboring Pakistan. If the Taliban gain further control of that country...well, could you imagine fundamentalist Muslims with those weapons eager to destroy the Little and Big Satans?

I'm curious if any one knows what the red marks (line) on the women's hands signifies.

I think he needs to be very careful about increasing troups in Afganistan while we are still committed in Iraq to the extent we are. He has also told the military to decrease their spending by 10%. That seems counterproductive to the situation.

Go figure. I knew he wouldn't be able to get around it.
