Pixar's It Gets Better Video

Pixar Uses Its Magic For "It Gets Better" Video

You don't have to be popular in high school to become a star at Pixar. In fact, lots of the creative people making movies there weren't. For its own "It Gets Better" video, the studio's gay employees came together for this emotional show of support for LGBT teens. They open up about harassment and bullying experiences, the freedom they felt coming out, and how everyone, gay or straight, can strive to find a dream job, city, and partner. It's great to see a company that makes popular children films use its relevancy to reach out to marginalized young people. But the best thing about this video: it brings hope to anyone who's ever felt alone or left out.

As someone whose most immediate family member (twin brother!) is gay and was suicidal at one point, I must say, this had me not just tearing up, but sobbing!Thank you, Pixar. <3
