Prince William and Kate Middleton beamed tonight at a black-tie reception for the National Memorial Arboretum Appeal. The event at St. James's palace was held to support a fund that William launched in 2009 to support the Armed Forces Memorial, which honors those who have died in conflict since World War Two. William gave a speech before tonight's three-course dinner, held on the eve of Armistice Day.
For her part, Kate looked statuesque in a Grecian gown. Royal watchers might also note that she placed her hand on her stomach again, although the palace has kept mum about recent rumors that Kate Middleton is pregnant. Whether or not they're expecting, we found out today that after celebrating their first holiday season together as a married couple, the duke and duchess will have to spend some time apart. For February and March, William will be fulfilling his Royal Air Force helicopter pilot duties on the remote Falkland Islands. Luckily, though, he'll be in England for Kate's 30th birthday on Jan. 9. See photos from tonight's festivities now.
