Revenge Plastic Surgery After Divorce

Postdivorce "Revenge" Plastic Surgery Is Supposedly a Thing

When it comes to divorce, a new survey says, revenge is a dish best served on the operating table. I prefer revenge to be creative, meme-worthy, and raging, so a boob job, moob job, and something known as the "yummy mummy package" don't really make the cut.

The results, also, don't exactly represent the average divorcée. The survey was done at Transform Cosmetic Surgery in the UK, and it found 62 percent of its clients were newly divorced and 11 percent of them were men. Of course, it could be that clients are looking to prep for reentering the dating world or their divorce settlements are just begging to be spent, but 48 percent said they had plastic surgery to make their exes jealous.

So maybe there is some truth to it, but isn't it just like the pricier, more painful, and slightly crazier version of looking hot when you see an ex?

Well I tend to chop my hair off after a nasty break up, but it's more of an F-U than a jealousy thing. Though it doesn't surprise me that half of divorcees who get plastic surgery afterward are doing it for revenge. People are bitter like that.

I imagine it's like the urge to cut your hair after a break up, to the extreme.

My coworker got a nose job and lasik done two weeks after his divorce. I think it was more of a 'he always wanted it done but his wife didn't let him before' thing.

So you see your ex and you’re thinking you look all hot – and he says ‘look at that, you finally got those miserable droopy boobs fixed’… you’ve accomplished what exactly?

That does sound pretty crazy. I'm almost certain a lot of people didn't do it ONLY for that. They probably did it to have better chances of finding a new partner. I have the feeling they kind of left out that part of the survey.
