Meredith and Corey are truly a blind-date success story, meeting through a mutual friend their senior year of college. After being together for five years — most of it long-distance — they sealed the deal at a rustic Summer wedding just outside of Charleston, SC. Their creekside big day took place at the dock house at Boone Hall Plantation (fun fact, it's the same venue where Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively held their wedding). Here's what bride Meredith had to say about their big day:
"We wanted our wedding to be anything but traditional, so booking our venue set the tone for the rest of the planning. Everything fell into place so easily as we chose words like 'intimate' and 'organic' to describe our wedding. We were honored to have some very talented friends, The Welcome Wheel, play during our reception. They graciously covered Rogue Wave's 'Eyes' for our first dance, which means more to us than most will know, as the song was just one of those things that helped us make it through the long-distance years of our relationship. I took it upon myself to show my husband-to-be that our marriage means more than a new ring and a name change, I wanted something more permanent. So I had my favorite line from 'Eyes' tattooed a few weeks before the wedding and was able to surprise him on our wedding night. We are still speechless when we look at our photos and remember how perfect everything was. We take that as a sign that we are exactly where we're supposed to be."
Meredith also shares her biggest tip for brides: "Don't skimp on the photography. The photos captured those moments that are unexplainable. We still look at them every day and get chills. We can't put a price on that."

They served all local food and beer at the wedding , with the menu including chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, and cupcakes with icing that matched the shades of green in the bridesmaids' dresses.
A friend of the bride and groom made the signage and designed the programs.
Meredith found her ivory dress (with pockets and a crumb-catcher neckline) at a charity show, Brides Against Breast Cancer , where brides can donate and buy wedding gowns for an amazing cause.
