Scott McClellan is Testifying Before the Judiciary Committee
On the stand now, Scott McClellan, former press secretary and author of the scathing book, What Happened is testifying about his experience in the Bush White House. Both Democrats and Republicans said they fully expect the hearing to extend far beyond the leak of a CIA agent’s name and delve fully into McClellan’s charges that the Bush administration deceived the American public about its reasons for going to war in Iraq.

"The committee's ranking Republican, Lamar Smith of Texas, ridiculed the hearing as a "book-of-the-month club" that revealed nothing new. Whatever McClellan was instructed to say, Smith said, was typical work of the White House press office." So lying us into the war was nothing new, and we're all okay with that?

It's good of the committee to do it on Friday, so anything he says is easy for the press to ignore.
