At what point do we stop sacrificing our personal privacy for these security measures. I am fundamentally against this and what the PATRIOT Act has done to our country's mindset. Terrorists will always find a way around these precautions, we need a better way to protect our country.

nope, i have no problem with these. like yoga said, many terrorist organizations use children. as long as everybody gets the same treatment, i'm ok with it. and like hypno said, security screeners will see hundreds/thousands of people a day. like a doctor or esthetician.

This should be a non-issue. I'm under 18 and I personally don't think that children should be exempt from things like this. Unfortunately, our entire world seems to be at war right now. In times of war, homeland security should be the top priority, not some ridiculous law. We are such a child-centric nation, but are we so child-centric that we're, like someone else said, going to give terrorists a loophole?

I don't see the issue with these scanners. I've looked at few images now from these scanners over the past year and they look like some one in a white pillow suit. Yeah it may show the shape of your boobs or your penis but hey so does a tight blouse or a speedo. I say get over it and deploy the scanners at all international terminals a.s.a.p. As for an individuals self consciousness over a security screener seeing the shape of their body trust less than two minutes after you leave that station you won't even be an after thought on that persons mind. With the volume of people passing through they're not going to dwell on your image.

I'm torn on the issue regarding the scanners. I see reasonable concern but I also see terrorists using minors to get dangerous weapons/explosives past security. How often are children used as a part of war? Terrorist organizations have teenage boys who would be willing to smuggle items on board, knowing they are exempt from these kind of scanners. Haven't soldiers reported that they can't trust children in certain towns because the terrorist are willing to strap bombs to them? I see the need to protect the privacy of children, and to prevent photos from being published or leaked, but on the other hand you give the terrorists a loophole.
