Stampede Kills 145 People at Remote Indian Hindu Temple Pilgrims stampeded at a mountaintop Hindu temple in northern India on Sunday, and 145 people — lots of them women and children — were killed in the crush that sent worshippers plummeting to their deaths over a broken railing. The devotees were attending a nine-day religious festival in the foothills of the Himalayas at the Naina Devi Temple, said district deputy police chief C.P. Verma.

It has nothing to do with being a Hindu. It has to do with too many people trying to congregate in the same place. Remember way back when when I got flack for saying that some of the Obama rallies scared me? This is why. There is something about HUGE amounts of people in the same place...there is an odd electricity in the air. Anything can happen. In the article it said that stampedes at these temples are fairly common. It just boggles my mind.

No, one more reason to not be a Hindu. Fanatcism can happen with the music industry, or anything else. This is just sad.
