I have heard a ton about the hazards of tanning beds, but nothing about the spray tans that many salons and spas offer. Do you know if there are any risks involved with getting those? I know they're more expensive than fake bake booths, but I haven't heard anything about them being bad for skin. Mystified by Mystic Tanning

From what I have read and seen there are no health risks involved in spray tanning if you keep your eyes shut and hold your breath so you are not inhaling the solution. Treatments range from inexpensive (booths) to fairly expensive if a spa applies it for you. They generally last about a week and are one of the greatest inventions to give you a quick and safe healthy glow. There are a few risks you should know of though - remember to wear dark colors because the tan will bleed onto your clothes a little bit.
And DO NOT forget the blocking cream on your hands, nails and feet.
