The reason we're in the war in Afghanistan and Iraq is so that we can have a military air base in those countries in order to protect ourselves and the rest of the free and nearly free world from Chinese aggression. We can drop an H or Atom Bomb in Iran, but if we hit their nuclear plant, we wipe out most of the Middle East and a few neighboring Countries. All the USofA has left is it's Air Force and Aircraft Carriers. And you know who to blame for decimating our Military, right? If you don't, I'll give you a hint: blue dress and what the meaning of "is" is. Got it now? Blame him for the deaths in Iraq because it's our National Guard who is over there dying and they would be here protecting our borders if "he" had not cut our Military practically in half. And our well trained Military would be fighting in Iraq and probably have far fewer casualties. It's all the Democrat's fault. But you go ahead and vote Democrat anyway. Wouldn't want you to be disappointed when the Country is overrun by its enemies. Which it will be if we have no Military, which we won't if BHObama has his way. Just because we don't have a Military does not mean we won't be attacked by a Nation which does. BHObama will "talk" to Iran's leaders? And say what? Allah Achbar, probably.

That's a good Lainetm. I'd like the UN to step up and help on several fronts.

I believe Iran is the common thread in several problems, but we can't effectively keep up forces on two fronts. Entering a third conflict will doom all three. This is an area where the U.N. should step in, because they're feeding civil unrest in other countries.

It's good to see we are looking at potential military actions against Iran. What this sounds like to me is a pounding of the chest, to remind leaders in Iran that maybe we should seek a political solution to the problems....

"This constant drumbeat of not helpful and not useful. I expect that there will be no war, and that is what we ought to be working for. We ought to try to do our utmost to create different conditions." Admiral Fallon, head of United States Central Command until being pressed to step down and be replace by General Patraeus who favors staying in Iraq and attacking Iran.
