Vanessa Paradis Feels Sorry For Carla Bruni

Say What? The Trouble With Falling For a President

"And if you're performing, singing, you can't quite let go, [you can't] start dancing like you want, in case the strap on your dress slips. And a country falls. It would be a curse, falling in love with a man who is president, and yet you fall in love, and so there is nothing you can do about it! What a dilemma!"

— Vanessa Paradis says she feels bad for Carla Bruni-Sarkozy because no matter how hard you try, you can't stop love, even if it means falling for a president and never being able to dance until your bra strap shows. I guess dating Johnny Depp doesn't present quite the same dilemma.

I sort of agree with Vanessa. But I think it's different for Carla where she was a rather well known fashion model before. People know her history. I think if it were Michelle Obama it would be a different story.

It is not the same because she and Jhonny live very privet lives (you barely see pictures of them). In Carlas case, she has to set by example. But I disagree with her, you can control love, at least in my experience.
