Video of McCain Dissing Sarah Palin on The Tonight Show

Truth by Omission? McCain Disses Palin on Tonight Show

This is how I like John McCain — kind of a jerk and completely blunt. Last night on The Tonight Show, Jay Leno asked McCain who he thought the leaders of the Republican party were, and he named Florida governor Charlie Crist, Louisiana governor (and 30 Rock's Kenneth the Page sound-alike) Bobby Jindal, and Mitt Romney (twice). And then to prove he didn't accidentally forget some lady governor who messed up his election, he said "and I've left out somebody's name and I'm going to hear about it." See it for yourself below.

Hey, he has a right to his opinions. And I think it was honorable that he said he wanted Obama to succeed. It shows he has no ill will and just wants what's best for America.

And that ladies and gentleman is why the Republicans lost this election! "I want Obama to succeed"??? Oh please...just join the Democrat party and have it done with. Take your daughter with you too.

janneth, my grandmother used to say "if wishes were horses, beggers would ride" ;-)

And yes, Palin is very Nixonian. In more ways than one.

Pretty sure McCain wishes he would have picked Romney. It would have been a strong ticket.

em, I always enjoy reading your thoughtful comments. :-)

Interesting thought, Grandpa. "The problem is the "right" commentator has been let go, and we are curently getting all the stories from the "other" side." I'm venturing a guess that this issue was a bit more complicated, and wasn't one of those liberal conspiracies. Not that you're implying that, but I'm just throwing that out there. "So over the this is biased, this is why I don't post here, this is why I've been in hiding, this is why I whine all the time comments that seem to show up from the same people every other day after every other day." :notworthy: tia!

"I'm pretty sure this site was initially based on two political voices giving biased opinions on topics. So while the voice of this story might seem to lean a tad left, there are PLENTY of stories with a lean to the right."The problem is the "right" commentator has been let go, and we are curently getting all the stories from the "other" side. Have you noticed that everything is coming from the same person? It's difficult to have a fair and balanced discussion, when the stories to be discussed are based in the left.

None of you are old enough to remember how everyone, and I mean EVERYONE wrote off Nixon after he lost to Kennedy. IN POLITICS ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE. :-)

"If he didn't think she was at least in the top 5 of his favorites, why would he have picked her? Odd. "Yup.

I also think Palin has a lot more to gain than "experience", given that my bf's ultra-conservative mom was straight-up frightened of her. But to each her own.

I should stop reading this site. It's just so BIASED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!His opinion, most people don't care about him anymore anyway. But I agree with steph, it suggests intent. The whole "Oooh, I'm gonna say this so people are still gonna talk about me!" kinda thing.

He can say whatever he wants, if he thinks that Palin's not suitable leader, that's his opinion. Oh well. I just can't see her running for presidency in 2012, I know that's what many assume, but still, I can't see her doing that based on what I've seen on tv so far. Maybe in 1-2 years, things can change and she's going to be actively pursuing that or something, who knows.
