Video of Sarah Palin Interview While Turkeys Are Killed

Sarah Palin Ruins Thanksgiving?

You may have heard Sarah Palin can hunt and skin a moose, but did you know that she could give an interview while someone else slaughters turkeys in the background? In the video below (warning! watching this video could prevent you from eating turkey on Thanksgiving or ever again), Palin chats about Alaska's state budget and her experience on the campaign trail, while turkeys meet their dark, headless, fates.

Before the impromptu interview Sarah Palin made sure one lucky Wasilla turkey could witness the big day — she issued a special pardon. Unfortunately, the tough-on-turkey governor only took mercy on one bird.

I just watched this: great! Specially the bloodied pants. I don't like Sarah Palin one bit but I hope no one accused her of cruelty because of *this*. I mean, that happens every day and that's the meat that go to the butcher's.

i don't like her politics, but i like her. i like eating meat and i'm not ignorant about how they get from the farm to the grocery store. and just because i don't like to see the process doesn't mean i shouldn't eat meat. i just shouldn't work at a farm.

I think everyone should see things like this. This teaches you to respect animals and the processes and people who get them from grazing to your table. We as a species are becoming so non self-sufficient that most people couldn't begin to tell you how things get from point a to point b. And seriously, another Palin story?

MSNBC said that their affiliate told them the cameraman asked Palin about the background and she said 'no worries' so he didn't move.

...it is a nice scarf Jude, I wonder if some of the RNC stuff got mis-sorted? (jk - before anyone attacks). I am sure the woman who calls Jimmy Choos Johnny Choos bought this most likely Burberry scarf thinking it was a "Blueberry" scarf. Side note: even though we know animals die to get to our kitchen, does not mean it is pleasant to watch. We all know a colonoscopy can prevent colon cancer, but guess what, i don't want to see her talking about health care with a dude getting a colonoscopy in the background (especially if he makes the faces the turkey dude makes).

Jimbo, i actually only eat turkeys that either i have shot or my dad has. I am not fooled by anything in regards to how animals are raised, slaughtered and put on my grocery shelf.

Agreed with no. 6. It doesn't bother me because I know that turkey meat doesn't just magically appear on your plate during Thanksgiving. LOL. And she was there to pardon a turkey, so I'm pretty sure that she knows what's going on there, it's not like she's being 'framed,' and I think the camera peeps and reporter knew too since they were there at the facility.

CaterpillarGirl, to each his or her own, to be sure. Personally I prefer no chemicals, no poisons, no steroids, no matter how 'yummy.' The less processed, the better. Non-GMO is good, too. Food is a source of nutrients, not a feel-good drug. That's just my opinion about food. I think that's why Americans are so overweight, but that's just my opinion as well. Don't be fooled about farming practices. Farms are no longer the quaint, Norman Rockwell-esque entities that most people picture. Farms are factories. They are extremely competitive and the dollar is the bottom line. The owners live in McMansions while the animals exist as objects. They exist in filthy, extremely cruel, cramped conditions. Turkeys are fed loads of cheap antibiotics, growth hormones, and steroids to produce more meat. Yucky is more like it... The bottom line is the dollar, so the Turkeys you buy are fed steroids. Bet on it. There are specialty turkeys that you can get at Whole Foods and the like that are raised drug-free, so to speak. But they're high dollar.

I wonder if she ever lost points in English class for her run on sentences? How this woman was ever a journalist is beyond me!
