I love all genres. Each type of music can be a reflection of what kind of mood one is in.

This whole article is just a waste of space. Who made up this load of bull? "If you listen to Indie Rock, you have low self esteem?" What the F&%#? Personally, I enjoy many types of music, some that were not named. I think someone may have had a deadline and nothing worthwhile to write about...

No punk?! Lame. My favorite three genres, each of which I listen to about 1/3 of the time, are dance (specifically 80s gay club dance, I loves me some Erasure and Pet Shop Boys), punk, and country. So, I'll just pick and choose some of those attributes, and combine them for a diagnosis of "strange."

SKG, I love classic country :( Johnny Cash touches my soul! But, due to asthma, I have been known to occasionally be a mouth-breather. I like all kinds of music. I have everything on my iPod from Frederic Chopin to Strapping Young Lad to Hank Williams to Manu Chao to Death Cab For Cutie to Billie Holiday and everything in between. There was a lot of genres left out of this list.

What if I can't label the music I like the most? Like Rufus Wainwright, Tom Waits and Nick Cave?

I'm pretty eclectic when it comes to music. . .I guess that says something about my personality in itself.

I figured it out... If you like popular genres of music that wasn't listed, then your personality is indescribable!

No world music (reggae, salsa, Gaelic, Caribbean, Indian classical, fado, flamenco, klezmer, zydeco, gospel)? No ska? No bluegrass? No Bollywood?

And I can definitely second what the article says about metalheads. All the ones I know/have met from my boyfriend to people I've met at concerts have been really nice, generally respectful, non-violent (outside of moshing, of course)... not what you'd really think they'd be. And metal has a lot of roots in classical (especially dark classical)... which is apparent in most metal all the way from Slayer's thrash, to Symphony X's power metal, the industrial of Nine Inch Nails, to the more obvious classic metal of Black Sabbath and the modern symphonic metal of Nightwish. The main note of metal (Devil's 3rd) comes from really old classical roots, and the general organization/complexity does too. The swearing and screaming, not so much.

No metal? Do I just have no personality then?
