Who's Watching President Bush's Farewell Address Tonight?

Who's Watching President Bush's Farewell Address Tonight?

At 8:00 p.m. tonight (5:00 p.m. PST), President George W. Bush will say goodbye to the American people. Everyday American heroes will join the 43rd president of the United States, as he reflects on and defends his two terms as leader of the free world.

While you're waiting for Bush to take the stage one last time, you can read columnist Gail Colins' slightly cynical take on tonight's speech, check out highlights of Bush's last press conference as a preview, or take our Did W Say It Quiz to test your knowledge of Bushisms.

While you tune in, share your reactions here!

Actually "unbiased" would be a good thing would it not? but biased or unbiased the mistakes listed on those sites are quite accurate. The seven listed above were more a sarcastic reflection, but not the best example. I think everyone knows by now what I think about Bush by now, and luckily I am as burned out expressing said as you are hearing it, so I'll try to avoid further comment about him in the future. I can't imagine he will even be newsworthy.

those seem like completely unbiased sources.

Even sociopaths can appear to be genuinely nice before they murder their wives with a smile on their faces. One can continue to say what a nice guy he is, but it won't change the fact that he and his cabinet are responsible for the deaths of approx. 187,000 people. http://www.infoshout.com/ I guess the families of those people aren't smiling nor all the people who have lost their jobs and/or their retirement/ house/ business, but how nice Bush and his family have such a nice cushy house to retire in. http://www.newtampadems.com/pages/e/e1/index.html http://www.alternet.org/story/32382/ http://www.independent.org/newsroom/article.asp?id=1694 http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x1048497 http://www.americanprogress.org/issues/2004/05/b64326.html Bush's 7 biggest mistakes; http://www.drudge.com/news/116756/nutting-bushs-seven-biggest-mistakes 1) letting cheney select himself as vp 2) running for president 3) being out the day they taught constitution 4) being out the day they taught wisdom 5) pretending to be a texan 6) not vetoing some of the shit congress passed along. 7) not having a plan, a goal or a method. http://www.independent.org/newsroom/article.asp?id=1694

Despite being a bad president, Bush is a decent and likeable man. I thought the farewell address was sad. His presidency might have been one of the best in history if he had made better decisions.

And, back to em and bluesarah, Target is a vortex! I even get caught up and waste tons of time on the website.

(And, for the record, when I say "specific people" the moderators and authors of the site are included.)

Thanks, pop! There are a few people who I miss, too.I have been trying to comment here and there; I initially took a break because there were a few specific people I was fed up with. Then, I got a promotion, so I just don't have to time to be on here like I used to. It's going to be a pretty slow-year in the world of campaign finance, though, so I'll probably be around a little more often again.Steph, :oy: right back at ya. :oy:Funny that you presume to know why people left better than someone who actually still converses with those people.

that is why I said it with a smile but you didn't get it, again run away with misinterpretation of my comments. It was like haha enough is enough... comments don't come off on the internet like theydo in person, take that into account. i wasn't trying to boss anyone around. key word in my sentence appreciate "Although i would appreciate no one comment about me anymore, stick to the article :) "

"But to go off on me for saying it, you are no better."You are right that I'm no better. It's just mean of me to beat up on someone like you.

Just becuase you weren't referencing me directly doesn't mean I can't comment. It has nothing to do with feeling important. "I said stick to the article as I am leaving for the weekend. But yet you just cannot possibly do that could you?"Last I checked I don't follow orders of random people on the internet.

maybe it wasn't the best thing to say, but it's getting old, and people who are tired say things out of frustration. But to go off on me for saying it, you are no better.

Obviously I was not speaking about you pop- but since you think you are so important... Don't speak ABOUT me. If you did not speak about me... then you are innocent, therefore, not speaking to you. I answered the questions you asked. You are so defensive. I did not say pop is a hater, did I ? Why are you even acting for a second like I was speaking about you. I said stick to the article as I am leaving for the weekend. But yet you just cannot possibly do that could you? Seriously though, can we have honest comments about what you think about the article instead of focusing on me? I am so sick of people taking jabs because of what they perceived my comment to mean. This conversation is over. So please stop talking about it. Bush will be out of the White house in 4 days. So maybe then i won't have to hear underhanded comments about him and his administration left and right.
