This is a great quote, from a great woman. I am definitely on the river of change and I think it's very important to allow ourselves to adapt with our environment while keeping true to ourselves. Change is good, we can never learn enough.

I love this quote too. I try to live my life embracing change, because it usually means growth will follow. I even have a tattoo that is a symbol which means "I have the power to change my life." to remind me of that when I dont like what's going on in mine.

remember that scene in "wayne's world" where rob's character tells garth "we're thinking about making a few changes around here. how would you feel about that?" then garth smashes the thing on the table to bits and says "we fear change". that use to be be. now i realize that change is inevitable and i am okay with it. i can't control a lot, but i can control my reaction to it. maybe the change is good, maybe it's horrible, but even so, maybe it doesn't really matter except to me. maybe no one else even notices.

I feel like now that I have learned to embrace being me, and finding out what that means and where my boundaries are that I enjoy life a whole lot more. It did take me years to realize that I am an individual with changing tastes. During this time I lost out on a lot because I thought I had to fit into some mold of me that I no longer fit into. Now that I've let go of my apprehensions about that I live a much fuller and more gratifying life. It still sucks from time to time, but I get that now.
