I'd MUCH rather pack my own lunch...you save $$ and you can pack healthy food for yourself.

You don't need permission, of course ;) but IMO, it's not a great way to spend your money! At $6 a day (which is on the low side, I think) -- that's $30 a week for meals out! ... multiply that by 50 weeks, and that's $1500/ year eating out!

I agree brooklyn bee - it's expensive and often unhealthy! I also agree re: the earth day comment as well.

I used to do this, back when I was too lazy/didn't know how to cook. Now I bring my lunch to work 4-5x a week and can't believe how much money I save! While it would be nice to go back to my old ways, I would definitely notice the impact on my wallet.

I eat out for all three of my meals...I can't cook even to say a few hundred dollars a month.

I don't know why people can buy their lunch everyday. I mean seriously people...doesn't it get rather expensive?

It's a lot more expensive that way but it's your prerogative.

I love getting sushi, spring rolls or wraps from Fresh Market...it's hard not to when they're so good.

Strange that you would post this on Earth Day, Dear! Eating out is generally more wasteful--at least lunch places where you get things to go. It's more eco-friendly to make something at home and bring it in a reusable container.

I'd feel too guilty wasting the money.

I only wish I could afford to buy myself lunch more often :( But I do manage to take myself out for sushi at least one lunch break every week or two!
