I read them for amusement mostly. I don't read them to learn anything, just funny articles and commentary.

I agree with snowbunny11, as well. I have picked up men's magazines before, and I can't say they accurately reflect any men I have ever met, so they don't have anything to offer me in terms of perspective. The same thing goes for most women's magazines too. Pretty lame.

Never done it but I'm also married so don't really need to know what men think about women.

I read stuff like this sometimes. GQ has interesting articles about random stuff sometimes -- license plates around the country, or REAL political or financial articles. Though guy magazines do have some problems, girl magazines are always like 872 billion new ways to lose weight, 756 trillion ways to please him in bed, and 34203948 new things you must buy this minute. If they have a political or financial article, 80% of the time, it is really dumbed down.

I love reading Maxim! It's absolutely hilarious. "How to cook your way into her pants" - that was an actual article I read. It's total crap, though. The attitude of those mags is so cocky and soooo ironic. They're all playboys and hot, and get laid whenever blah blah. Cosmo is amusing, too. Honestly, that mag is garbage but if you take a step back it can be hilarious as well.

What?! Mens' magazines are just as shallow and anti-feminist as Cosmo is...Esquire is seriously a joke!

I do like to see the guys perspective from time to time- I love reading GQ mainly though...so much classier than many of the womens mags!

I used to always read my boyfriends FHM! Sometimes they are pretty interesting. He even handed me a playboy he bought because he knew I like the girl too (as a celebrity, not the way he likes her ;)) He doesn't have the subscription anymore ;(

I'll read a Maxim or FHM once in a while for fun, though between chuckles I'm usually just, like, :OY: I find the content and writing in more upscale men's magazines like GQ and Esquire to be superior to most women's magazines, unfortunately for us, so I do read things like that fairly regularly.

I read mens magazines to get away from the materialistic message that most womans magazines send.. Not to mention the fact that they only cater to 1 body type.. And are generally unrealistic and offer craptastically awful advice..WOOO Go feminist double standards Ugh I loathe cosmo
