I always do...and if your friends/co-diners do it too, you can each get different dressings and try each other's! Yummilicious!

I do this, not because of a fat/calories thing. I do it because I hate when all I can taste is the dressing and not the salad itself (I tend to get involved salads with nuts, cheeses, avocados, meats or some combo of that) and I hate if my peacan and blue cheese taste like balsamic vinegar or my chicken just tatses like olive oil. I was to fully taste the salad and not just the dressing.

i do this all the time....i HATE soggy greens w/ a passion! (yes, i even send it back if it comes out with dressing on it)!

I wish I did this more often. I just find myself forgetting, then the salad is infront of me and dripping with too much flavor and calories.

I always do this when eating out - that way I can control the amount of dressing. Otherwise the whole salad that I am paying for could be ruined.

I do this! I can't stand most salad dressings and in restaurants they put on too much.

I totally do this! Sorry, I don't like certain dressings! And it's not like most servers know "Hey, how strong is the x flavor in that?" so I'm not going to be a brat and send it back. One time, though, at a restaurant in my home town, I asked for the dressing options for a delish spinach salad I ordered - and the waitress told me that if I wasn't going to eat it with the sweet and sour bacon dressing, I shouldn't bother to eat it. I told her that I don't eat pork products, and she kept insisting that it's much better with the S&S bacon dressing. So apparently you do need permission in that restaurant! ;)

I always ask for extra dressing on the side. I hate not having enough.

I would rather they just slather on my dressing, thanks.
