Hey all of you who say no way it's so transparent...YOU pull an all nighter working on a last minute project or proposal and then tell me you don't want your manager to know how hard you worked on it. puh-lease. they know why you are doing it, atleast in my field and so they reflect how hard you have been working when it comes time for a performance review...

oh and by the way, why are people getting so rude about a silly wine post? who cares if some people drink a whole bottle at one time...it's their decision, and as you can see from this post, they don't need your permission.

Oh wow!! This is awesome news!! Can I also do an entire eightball when I only had the intention of snorting one teensy line?

Also, if you set out with the intention to drink one glass and end up downing the whole bottle, maybe you have some self-control issues too. I definitely have days (very few and far between!) where I really feel the need to get a good buzz on, but those aren't the days where I think to myself, "Hmm, I'll just have one glass."

I dunno, sounds to me like you should ask your liver for permission first. Hopefully someone helped with the bottle, because drinking alone (not to mention drinking a whole bottle) is a warning sign of alcoholism.

the problem occurs when you open the second bottle intending to only have one glass more...

I'd be under the table and down for the next day. I can't see the problem with a bottle every once in a while. However, doing that regularly would be another story.

I don't think I myself could do a bottle..but more than one glass...once in a blue moon...of course, there would be NO driving involved for the rest of the day... ;)

Permission, no. Sense enough not to do it often, yes.
