Young Married Couples Should Use Condoms

Young People Have Serious Trouble Determining Their Relationships

Even when they're married, a new survey suggests, young people have trouble determining whether or not they're in a monogamous relationship. Here I thought the Facebook relationship status solved this for everyone.

The study polled 434 married and unmarried couples aged 18-25 and found that in about half of the couples, the partners disagreed about whether they were with each other exclusively. Married couples were no more likely to agree about monogamy, and couples with children were the least likely to have an explicit "we're exclusive" understanding. Perhaps because they have so much trouble determining their status, 30 percent of partners also admitted to cheating.

Based on these surprising result, the researchers behind the study made one important recommendation: even if they're married or think they're in an exclusive relationship, young people should still use condoms.

given the chance; men will cheat. there's no "confusion", its just that men like to keep their options open when it suites them. i find women are much more matter of fact about keeping things "light".
