This Woodsy, Outdoor Wedding Makes Us Want to Build a Campfire

Ahh, I can remember watching Parent Trap as a kid and dreaming of the day I'd go to a Summer camp as cool as Hallie and Annie's. Couple Kelly and Jeric just upped the Summer-camp game by a hundred thousand levels: they held their wedding at Angelus Mountain Center in California, and it is literally #goals.

"Our main inspiration for the day was creating a wedding that everyone would remember as intimate, but relaxed," Kelly, the bride, said. "We wanted everyone to know how much we love each other and how much we love them. It was about being surrounded by every single one of the most important people in our lives and sharing with them all of our favorite things — being outdoors, eating burgers and drinking beer, the Beatles, dancing up a storm, and Casa Bianca pizza! It was ultimately a celebration of the incredible community of people that surrounds us, and I couldn't have imagined a more beautiful, wonderful, perfect day."

One of Kelly's favorite moments includes waking up to a cool, cloudy day after weeks of intense heat. "It even rained!" she said. "No bride was ever so happy to have rain on her wedding day as I was!" She also loved the way her grandma danced all night — she's in her mid-80s! — and the fact that she spotted deer during a photo shoot. Other highlights? Teaching her mom to make a s'more at the campfire (aww), when the sun actually showed its face during "Here Comes the Sun," and the beer (which came all the way from Missoula, MT!).

The coolest part? Some of the rustic wedding decor was DIY. "The 'All You Need is Love' log is from my parents' backyard," she said. "My dad was cutting down a tree and he took his chainsaw to a branch, lopped off a chunk, flattened out one side with the chainsaw, and then said, 'Here, make something for the wedding with this.' I burned in 'All You Need Is Love.'" So cute! See all of the charming photos ahead.
