Aug 1 2013 - 9:17am

Finding kids' toys and gear that's made here in the States may be getting harder and harder, but with a little legwork, moms who prioritize buying American-made products can still score some great finds. We spent some time combing the web, and our own personal lists of favorite brands and products, and came up with a selection that'll make any kid proud to play American. Check out 20 of the coolest toys made right here in the good old US of A!

An 11-piece wooden whale puzzle [2] ($13, originally $14) by Maple Landmark comes in a drawstring pouch for easy storage.

We love the timeless fun that comes along with lace-up toys. This set of lace-up vehicles [3] ($26) is likely to bring back a bit of nostalgia for mom and dad.

Not only are Crayola crayons [4] still made here in the US, you can even take your kids to watch the manufacturing process in action at the Crayola Experience in Lehigh Valley, PA! We're loving the brand's Nostalgia Tin [5] ($3), representing the brand's original packaging from the turn of the century.

Green Toys' Ferry Boat [6] ($25) makes for double-decker bath-time fun!

Wheel-around fun for farmers-in-training, Green Toys' tractor [7] ($20) features chunky, easy-to-maneuver pieces for tots ages 1 and up.

Who says that tool sets are just for the boys? Green Toys' Pink Tool Set [8] ($28) encourages little girls to embrace their inner "Miss Fix It" with 15 pieces of building fun.

Adventures abound in the Endless Adventures Tikes Town Playhouse [9] ($499), suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

Got a Little Tikes [10] Cozy Coupe [11]? Then of course you'll be needing a Cozy Pumper [12] ($27) to boot!

Customize your kids' pint-size picnics with Little Tikes [13]' Fold 'n Store Picnic Table with Market Umbrella [14] ($117, originally $130).

Consider Step2 [15]'s Clubhouse Climber [16] ($659) an investment that'll turn your backyard into the new neighborhood hot spot.

For hours of seesawing fun, Step2 [17]'s Play Up Teeter Totter [18] ($50) requires minimal assembly (yay!) and features comfy, contoured seats.

Step2 [19]'s Smile and Ride Buggy [20] isn't just made in the US — it's also super affordable at $40.

Chic Coco [21] ($80) isn't the only Vermont Teddy Bear who's made in America — since 1981, each and every one of the brand's bears have been made (as the label promises!) in Vermont.

Not only are all of Green Toys' products made in the USA, they're also all made from 100-percent recycled plastic milk jugs. Start your little ones off on the right foot with a set of colorful stacking cups [22] ($11).

All K'Nex products are made in Pennsylvania, and the Tinkertoy Big Top Building Set [23] ($56) is no exception. It comes with 188 durable plastic pieces for hours of circus-inspired fun.

Inspire little wordsmiths with Really Big Words [24] ($19, originally $20), a set of more than 80 magnetic word tiles perfect for refrigerator fun!

We're crazy about My Very Own House's line of cardboard toys that are designed to inspire imaginative play. Hit the high seas (or just the backyard) with the brand's eco-friendly Pirate Ship [25] ($30, originally $40).

Made in San Diego, the Spooner Board [26] ($49, originally $55) encourages the development of gross motor skills, balance, and coordination. Next stop? The slopes!

Who doesn't love the classic Slinky [27] ($8, originally $25)?! Made in America since 1945, this collector's edition version comes in packaging inspired by the original.

The Eco-Bonkers [28] ($60 each) feature machine-washable, organic cotton fabric covers, and a percentage of the proceeds benefit the Wildlife Alliance.
