In what is turning out to be the coolest designer/baby collaboration ever, Bugaboo is expanding it's collection of Andy Warhol-inspired stroller accessories to include the artist's iconic 1980 portrait of Debbie Harry. The company is only producing three of its popular Cameleon strollers featuring a colorful pop-art print of Blondie's lead singer, and they will be auctioning them off to raise money for Kids Company, a British charity that provides support to at-risk inner-city kids in the UK. One-hundred percent of the profits will go to the charity.
It's been just over a year since Bugaboo began its multiyear deal with the Andy Warhol Foundation. So far, the collaboration has produced strollers with the artists' popular flowers, cars, "happy bugs," and banana designs. The limited edition Andy Warhol + Bugaboo Cameleon3 Blondie auctions will begin on Aug. 11 with one stroller available each week for three weeks.
