My daughter begs for every single thing she sees in a commercial. The Stretch Kins are at the top of her list. Wait, now it's the bubbles that don't pop.

We have abcmouse and, each time she sees a commercial, she wants to go play.

I do like ABC Mouse, but I have her do pages in an educational
workbook to earn screen time. The only drawback on abcmouse.com
is your kids can purchase pets for their avatar. Silly me, I thought
nothing of it, until I realized my daughter has purchased 6 cats, a
bunny and a unicorn. The 6 cats were an accident. All of these animals
want to be fed, given water, and bathed, each day. It's fun for one
animal, but takes, literally a half an hour for 8 animals. Are you
kidding me?!? It's faster with real animals AND they don't need baths
every day. So far, customer support has told me there is no way to
remove--ahem--I mean give away any of these pretend animals. And my dd
gets so upset when the animals have sad red faces. That's my only
complaint about abcmouse.

I like ABC Mouse, too. I get my dd to do pages in an educational workbook to earn screen time, which she mainly wants to spend on ABC Mouse. Seriously it's called self control.. I say no to my kids.. Just like people saying macdonalds is making kids fat ..um No it's the parents lack of self control.. People need to look at themselves instead of blaming companies.. Learn to say No ...

We've got ABC mouse... I have a 1, 4, and 6 year old so it's kind of worth it since all 3 are covered and there's always yearly deals (I got something like a 2 year subscription for $60, which basically is less than $2 a month...) The commercials are annoying, but my 6 year old LOVES the mini games and I don't have to worry about commercials selling her things (unlike Disney Jr, Nick Jr. etc sites.) Plus it now is an app on our Kindle, so she can play it there too. I don't regret that one.

We have a rule though for most of these things. A toy must have more than one function and be worth more than one play cycle. So the stompees, stuffies, etc haven't made the cut. The fishbowl teddy though I thought would be a great cookie jar for Grandmas or a special "sick vomit bowl'... right? He's your friend through thick and... ew...

My 5-y-o daughter: "Mom, Chuck E. Cheese makes a family strong"
Me: "Really? How does it do that?"
My 5-y-o daughter: "I don't know, but it does."

I like abcmouse.com and my son is only almost 4 but has already been in school for a year early enrollment. So he's been enjoying it a lot since he uses the computer at school too.
