Badger Sunscreen Recall

30,000 Tubes of Badger Baby and Kids Sunscreen Lotion Recalled

Heads up, moms! W.S. Badger Co. Inc. is voluntarily recalling 30,000 tubes of its organic four-ounce SPF 30 Baby Sunscreen Lotion and four-ounce SPF 30 Kids Sunscreen lotion because they may be contaminated with Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Candida parapsilosis, and Acremonium fungi. The contaminants can cause illness in animals and humans, although no adverse reactions in connection with the product have been reported. The lots being recalled passed the required testing before sale, but routine retesting revealed that the preservatives in several lots had been compromised, says Bill Whyte, the company's CEO.

For the full list of affected products and how to return contaminated products for a refund, visit the FDA website.
