Pregnant women should not eat soft serve due to risk of Listeria risk. The bacteria Listeria monocytogenes can contaminate some foods. Healthy people may experience no ill-effects at all, but the risks are substantial for pregnant women. The greatest danger is to the unborn baby, with increased risk of miscarriage, stillbirth or premature labour.

What if you're pregnant, but only like 2 or 3 months along and not showing! Would they question you?? (Just hypothetical)

How do they verify that you're pregnant, by the way?

Like the sushi rule, the soft serve rule is outdated. Lysteria can linger in the ice cream maker, but the risk is very small.Still, it always amuses me that women who preach "if there's a risk, why take it, it's only nine months" often eat soft serve regularly. And that Baskin Robbins would take that legal risk, no matter how small.
