Bathroom Disasters

Why Didn't Anybody Tell Me? Bathtub Disaster

Yesterday was a strange day for me. Not a particularly productive day at the office, I was unusually wiped out for some reason when I got home. Hubby had other dinner plans so I was only responsible for feeding my lil one. After her dinner, I put on my pajamas and got ready for her bath time.

To see what bathroom disaster occurred,

.

After I got comfy, I stripped my babe down to her birthday suit ready to plop her in the tub. A big fan of tub time, she played with the bubbles and her toys while kicking and splashing like the wild child she is. After a crazed moment, she froze and locked her eyes into mine. Then she leaned a tad to her left – away from me. I thought to myself, she's about to toot. Unfortunately, she had more in store than that. She pulled a Caddy Shack and presented a live Baby Ruth. Horrified, I grabbed her out of the tub and left her two "friends" bobbing about the water.

Thankfully I had a mini trash bag right next to the sink to grab the floaters. I put her to bed, ate my meal and spent the rest of the night bleaching and scrubbing the tub. Oh the joys of motherhood.

My cousin's daughter thinks this is the funniest thing to do. So everytime they give her a bath they are ready to wisk her away to the toilet.

My son hasn't done this, yet. Bu tmy aunts have all warned me plenty of times so I'll be prepared for it. But my MIL usually is the one to bathe him in the morning while I'm at work so she'll probably be the one to receive that treat.

Ha!! This happened to a friend of mine the other day, when she and her hubby were bathing their daughter before going on a date! It happened right before the babysitter showed up!

Did people really not warn anyone of this? I'd heard so many stories of it before I had kids that I was more than prepared. *lol* With my middle child it was a regular event. Just pick 'em out, clean them up, clean it up, and go to bed.

perhaps this should have grossed me out but it didn't. i have three dogs and i'm always picking up poop. i don't think it'd phase me if a 'baby ruth' suddenly appeared in the bath tub. seems i always have a poop bag in my pocket.

Yeah, my second son did this a couple times... and then there was the time he had diarrhea in the tub. THAT was a force to be reckoned with. :-S

That is very funny. My boy did that for his dad several years ago. So far, my daughter hasn't pulled that one, but I am waiting. Dad usually bathes them, so he'll have to be quick on his feet, but I'll be scrubbing as usual afterwards I am sure. Sarah, glad your daughter is well now :)

This made me laugh. A few weeks ago my daughter had a seizure while in the bath (had nothing to do with the bath). A week after we got out of the hospital she pulled this number. Because she paused and got stiff for a second, I though she was having another seizure. So when I saw what it was, I was actually relieved. Though still grossed out, I yanked her out and made my husband fish out the results. (She's all healthy now. :))

I should have been better prepared /less disgusted when my little guy did it. I was in the tub with my younger sister when I first discovered babies find warm bath water a little too relaxing sometimes.
