These are mostly generic gifts. None of them excite me particularly. Get to know your nanny and give them something they will really love based on who they are and their interests. In my experience the gift that has gone over the best with most nannies is a little holiday bonus given to them early. Then a small token from the child (even something hand made or a nice framed photo of them together) closer to the holiday. This is especially true if your nanny is young and cash strapped. My college age nannies just really want the cash. More mature nannies have appreciated something thoughtful and personal. When we had a live in she got more as we wanted her to have as many things under the tree as the other adults in the family so then we bought things like shown on this list (gloves, earbuds, etc) as filler. I would wrap a few in paper other than what I used that year and if extended family came without a gift for her I would slip them to them to give. You want the person caring for your child to feel like a loved member of the family not a resentful employee. After all you are asking them to love your little darling like family.
