This Venn Diagram Expertly Shows What Betsy DeVos and Teachers Have in Common

The wonderful thing about a Venn diagram is that it easily shows what two things do and don't have in common. In this striking chart, it's easy to see the differences and similarities (or lack there of) between teachers and the new education secretary, Betsy DeVos.

The powerful graphic posted to Instagram breaks down some stark discrepancies between Betsy and many educators in an easy-to-understand format.

In addition to contrasting her lack of an education degree to the BA, MA, and PhDs in education that many teachers have, it also outlines some key differences in social issues. This includes her belief that guns should be in schools and the fact that her family donated $200 million to anti-LGBT groups. "[Educators] protect and die for their students during school shootings," the sign reads. Teachers also "welcome and love all students regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic status."

In addition to pointing out that teachers are in debt an average of $30,100 while making $47,111 a year compared to Betsy's $5.1 billion net worth, it also explains their similarities: "Nothing!" The sassy chart goes on to helpfully explain one last thing to DeVos: "(P.S. This is called a Venn Diagram)."
