We read the I'm A Big Sister Now book to our daughter countless times before her little sister was born. She was only 21 months old so it was really a great way to help her understand. There's a part in the book about the older sister making the baby cozy and that was her favorite thing after the baby was born-making her cozy (-:

I used to watch that TLC show...damn the name just slipped my midn right now! But you know the one where the mom is preggers and they follow her till the delivery? anyways she loved watching it with me and compare my belly to thiers..then ask me when her brother would come out. greggie I did sort of the same thing...this is something I made when she had about a million questions! When I had my second baby, one thing we did to get my 2 1/2 year old to understand was to take a picture of me with my big belly, cut around it to make a flap, and put a picture of a baby behind it. He could lift the flap and see the baby, and understood a little better what was actually inside my belly.

Babysugar - how old is your daughter? Ours will be exactly 2 when the next one arrives and I don't want to totally flip her out with the bed (and actually, ROOM) switching, etc. You'll have to give us an update about how she adjusts after the new one arrives. I'm kinda nervous about our situation, so I'll be interested to see how it goes for someone else.
