After First Being Turned Down, This Adorable Little Boy With Down Syndrome Makes His Modeling Debut!

In October, Meagan Nash submitted photos of her 16-month-old son with Down syndrome for an OshKosh B'Gosh ad, but the modeling agency said that their advertisement hadn't "requested a special needs baby." She fought for her son, Asher, and the agency promised to submit his photos, but they didn't – and they were pretty damn adorable.

She made it her mission to have special needs children included in advertising, and her first step was this viral post on the Kids With Down Syndrome Facebook page with her request to not only have her son model for OshKosh, but have children with special needs represented fairly in ads.

Less than two months later, Meagan's dreams for her son came true, and now Asher is changing the advertising world as the star of an OshKosh ad! His adorable photo and exuberant smile covers the company's website and will be featured in the holiday email and on social media starting Dec. 3.

After people from OshKosh saw the viral Facebook post, a company spokesperson told POPSUGAR how the situation unfolded in October.

"Since we became aware of Ms. Nash's request, our team has reached out to her directly to better understand her perspective and provide additional information about our casting process," they said. "We agree there is an opportunity for greater representation of children with special needs in advertising. We look forward to meeting with Asher and his family, as well as taking steps to enhance the representation of diverse children in our marketing."

We are so happy that Meagan's negative experience has been turned into a groundbreaking change for the advertising world as we know it. And seriously, how cute does Asher look with his #ELFIE shirt?!
