Cars lined up around the block this past Saturday in Gladewater, TX for 6-year-old Drew Cox's lemonade stand. Drew's father, Randy Cox, was diagnosed three months ago with seminoma, a rare form of cancer. To help raise money for his father's medical treatment, Drew decided to sell lemonade for 25 cents a cup.
Drew explained the touching reason behind the lemonade stand to reporters this past weekend: "He is so important to me, we love to play with each other."
We love that the community (and even people from surrounding communities) came out for Drew and his dad; the crowd that showed up to buy lemonade helped him raise $10,000 in a single day.
