Boys Gives Money to Soldier

An 8-Year-Old Boy Gives His Found Fortune to a US Soldier

For kids, and even some adults, finding $20 in a parking lot is like winning the lottery. While most children would spend their newfound fortune on candy or toys, Myles Eckert had a different plan in mind. During lunch at a Cracker Barrel, the 8-year-old spotted a soldier out to lunch with his family. Myles instantly though of his father, a fellow soldier who died in Iraq five weeks after Myles was born, and wanted to thank the man for all he's done. He wrapped the $20 in the following note:

Dear Soldier,
My dad was a soldier. He's in heaven now. I found this $20 in the parking lot when we got here. We like to pay it forward in my family. It's your lucky day. Thank you for your service.
Myles Eckert, A Gold Star Kid.

But Myles's day didn't end there. Watch the video above to see what the little boy did after lunch.
