Is a wholesome family entertainment show like The Voice trying to elbow its way into the public breastfeeding wars? Probably not, but that's where the Australian version of the show found itself last night after contestant Dallas James impressed judges with a song and the camera panned to his partner nursing the couple's toddler son backstage. The entire snippet lasts all of two seconds, but there is no doubt that the mother is breastfeeding her child on the greenroom couch. Immediately following the segment, Twitter lit up with fans and critics voicing their opinions. As for the child's father? James (who had just secured a spot on Joel Madden's team) told News.com.au it doesn't bother him in the least. "It was Ingrid's decision to do that in the moment and I support her, and I support all women who want to breastfeed in public. It's their choice."
What do you think of the producers' decision to show the scene?
