With six boys under the age of 5, we know that with a season change comes both excitement and dread as you realize not one piece of clothing will fit them in the new climate! Here are some of our favorite go-to pieces that won't break the bank but are also well-made to withstand the Summer of rolling down hills, watching fireworks, and playing baseball.
Native Shoes "Jefferson" Slip-On Sneaker ($32)
While this may seem pricey for a shoe with holes in it, trust us, they're worth every penny! Native Shoes are our boys' favorite and the most versatile Summer shoe on the market. Not only are they easy for your kiddos to slip on themselves (major plus when you're hauling out the door to swim lessons), but they also can get wet! Best of all, if they get grimey, just throw them in the wash and they are as good as new! You will only have to buy one pair and pass them down for generations to come, they're that sturdy.
Joe Fresh Floral One-Piece Swimsuit ($15, originally $32)
One of our favorite lines is Joe Fresh for JCPenney. Always on trend and well-made, the best thing about it is price! This one-shoulder swimsuit is a must have for any little gal, and for $15, you won't complain when she spills her favorite red drink on it!
Old Navy Boys Classic Camo-Print Flip-Flops ($4)
Old Navy flip-flops are a must have for your Summer fun. They have the most darling styles for boys and girls, plus it doesn't hurt that they only cost $4. They're comfortable and make for the cutest Summer tan line.
Old Navy Girls Denim Shorts ($12, originally $13)
Old Navy also happens to have everyone's Summer must-have essential, the denim short. And what's better than a little girl in denim shorts? Nothing. Seriously nothing.
Pottery Barn Kids Shark Beach Towel ($20)
We don't know about you, but our kids go ape over something with their name on it, and since they'll be living at the pool this Summer, we think marking their cement territory with a personalized beach towel will have them seeing stars.
Rip Curl "Arrogant" Tank Top ($12)
This $12 tank will be optimal for 5-year-old flexing muscles. Fun enough to be worn to the beach or dressed with jeans for a Summer dinner, this tank will make your kiddo cool as a cucumber.
Old Navy Panda PJ Sets For Baby ($12, originally $15)
No hot Summer nights for your kiddos when they're wearing these short sleep sets from Old Navy. Totally breathable and adorable, they'll be cool and cuddly all at the same time.
