Caged Fighting For Kids?

Would you let your lil one go head to head in all out combat with another child?

A recent
MSNBC report on cage fighting said that the adult only sport is now catching popularity with a younger set. Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is now legal for children in a few states, but advocates say as a youth sport, it teaches self discipline, is great exercise and allows youngsters to channel their angst. Critics fear that kids may be permanently injured while partaking in the violet sport.

What do you think — is MMA any different from signing your child up for lil league?

I would never let my son do this! Who would want to see their young kids getting beat up in a cage? I can't believe there are people that would want to go watch this...disturbing!!

OMG how unbelievable! What goes through parents minds when they allow their kids to do such a thing??? Or are they just plain stupid?

I have to agree with the fact that a "sport" like that could cause serious injuries to a growing child, not to mention that it just seems too violent. And why do both the mothers they showed look like they just got off of parole.

Um, how about no??? I don't know how a parent could allow (let along actually want) their child fighting and possibly getting injured. If they want the kids in an activity send them to sports or regular karate IMO.
