Is Celeb Pregnancy Everybody's Business?

Is Celeb Pregnancy Everybody's Business?

Hollywood is baby crazy and it leaves people wanting more. Before expectant moms are ready to announce their pregnancies, rumors fly about suspicious wardrobes and potential baby bumps.

Avril Lavigne and hubby Deryck Whibley were recently spotted at Kitson Kids buying up a load of tot goodies. Minnie Driver and Kate Hudson have also been scrutinized as of late.

As a mom, I'd be less than excited if someone pointed out a bulging belly that was nothing other than flab! But if I was actually pregnant, I think I'd be rather excited.

What do you think of the expectant rumor mill?

So just telling people we were going to try and get pregnant had everyone looking at my less than flat belly for months and speculating. It got to the point where I would see their eyes go to my belly and I would just say "NO I'M NOT". It was slightly annoying but whatever. I don't think it is necessarily right, but the price of being a celebrity means people take pictures of you, speculate and criticize... I might take that if I could afford to have three homes, a personal trainer and chef.

I really don't think that it is anyone's business. If a star wants to announce their pregnancy then great but until then the paps really need to back off. I think it is specially rude when the stars are within their first trimester and people are pressuring them to announce it. Something could go wrong and how horrible to have that announcement out there and everyones expectations of their pregnancy. Lily Allen is a recent example

I would hate to be like these stars under the constant scrutiny for what is probably just a little bloat from a big meal or something. ;) I mean...some of the speculation is ridiculous...a tiny little bump...sheesh....if i were famous they would constantly be saying i was knocked up...lol. It kinda sucks.Oh...and i say Avril isnt pregnant. ;)

I think if you put yourself out there as a public figure, then you have to expect it. I don't think to the point of stalking, but to some degree.

When you're a public figure, people are going to wonder. But the telephoto lenses pointed at the bellies, if there's even the slightest water retention.... meh, all the speculation wastes time. Tell me what *is* going on, not what *might be* going on! I could make guesses all day too! And it's really sad if someone miscarries, or is trying to get pg and can't. How about breaking the story when she hits the less-dangerous second tri?
