We all know we're supposed to remain calm in emergencies, but Lindora Richardson, a 37-year-old school bus driver in Charlotte, N.C., was put to to the test last week — and emerged a hero.

As her bus went up in smoke, Richardson directed the six kids on board to walk to the back and jump out, one at a time.
