We all know we're supposed to remain calm in emergencies, but Lindora Richardson, a 37-year-old school bus driver in Charlotte, N.C., was put to to the test last week — and emerged a hero.
As her bus went up in smoke, Richardson directed the six kids on board to walk to the back and jump out, one at a time. She caught each child and delivered them all to safety, and not a moment too soon. As the dramatic video shows, the empty bus burst into flames. Richardon later said that she was just doing her job.
