Do cheerleading uniforms belong in schools? Pinellas County, FL, schools say no, but some parents in the district are protesting that cheerleaders are being prohibited from wearing their uniforms to class, despite the fact that the garb is issued by the school. As The Huffington Post reports, the county says the uniforms are too revealing for students to wear during the day, because the sleeveless tops and short skirts violate dress codes. But in the past, cheerleaders wore their uniforms to class on game days, and parents just don't get it. "Why can they wear it in front of thousands of people at a football field if they can't wear it on game day at school?" Christine Johnson asked the Tampa Bay Times.
