Come Lil Marking With Me: Share Your First Stroller

Seeing Nicole Richie with her Orbit stroller last week got me thinking about the ever-changing stroller market and the fact that the it buggy tends to change every couple of years. I want you to share the first stroller you used for your kids by bookmarking the model on TeamSugar. If you tag your finds as "my first stroller," I'll do a recap next week of your picks.

Geeksugar has written an explanation of how to bookmark items on TeamSugar if you need a helping hand. Still don't know where to start? To see some of my favorite online stores,

I have a 7 months old baby girl and we bought the Stokke Xplory. It has been a great cot and is now an even greater stroller. First the baby was sitting backwards, facing me, almost totally horizontally. Recently we have turned around the seat because now she is more interested in what happens around her, and she can also stay a little bit less reclined because she is able to sit by herself. She love the Xplory and I find it incredibly good and a little underrated. It is very high, so the baby stays out of the pollution, I can go up and down the stairs collapsing the front and the back wheels while the baby is sitting in it (which is great because I am a lot alone and we live on the second floor with no elevator), its big wheels make it really easy to move on uneven grounds and I can even guide it only with one hand. The only bad thing I can say about this is that it's a little big and it's not very collapsible. It barely fits into the back of our Mazda 3 and it weighs quite a bit, so we are now thinking of purchasing a light travelling stroller like a MacLaren.

I have the Quinny Buzz and Maxcosi Carseat. We LOVE IT!It handles like a dream and you can even open doors and swivel it in on your own b/c apparently people don't think it'd be nice to hold the door these days! I got the blue carseat and hubby got the black (pengiun) stroller. It was a bit pricey, but It goes from birth to 40 pounds. So we polled friends that had littles one and they had gone through so many strollers this should be the only one we need for a long time :)

There's reviews by BabyGizmo on YouTube that show you how different strollers/highchairs/gear.... work & how they rate them. I wish I had come across them before I registered.... I have a mcclaren volo for when he gets older BUT I didnt know that I needed something a lil more comfy for now (he's 7 mos) wound up getting a used (craigslist) but terrific inglesina zippy... (and i probably should have just gotten THAT new cause i love it) He can recline & lounge out, better than in the volo (which is so light it'll be perfect for later in the game i think).

I too would love a comparison of some of the new baby gear. Esp. the Quinny Buzz as I'm convinced that if this was my first baby this would have been my stroller of choice!!

I agree with hpl55.. comparison of new baby-gear would be really useful.

I am sure they don't make mine anymore...it was 19 yrs ago! It was an Aprica stroller...a higher end one way back in 1989. I LOVED that thing! It didn't even look like a hand me down.

I agree--baby equipment changes so quickly. I would rather see a comparison of current strollers that are on the market, what's good about them, what's not, etc. Recommendations for someone currently in the market for a stroller (or any other kind of baby stuff), not what someone used 5 years ago....

I doubt they still make mine- it has only been 6 years, but they change so often. I'll try to look :ponder:
