Eco-Friendly Goody Bag Ideas For Kids' Parties

OnSugar Blog: Eco-Friendly Birthday Goody Bags

Lots of moms like to think out loud and HouseofAnais is one of them. In this excerpt from her post, she shows us how she made these adorable bags for her lil one's birthday party.

Birthday goody bags
Miss Anaïs had her birthday already, but I was very late booking for party venues, so the children's party is not until the weekend. Anaïs has been busy working on her goody bags.

The idea with the goody bags was to have something more useful and be a bit more "green," i.e. no paper or plastic bags. Since the age of the partygoers varies between 5 and 9, we did custom-tags using glitter cards, stickers and twine. The content includes books based on the guest's age, silly bands, pencils, ply dough and some candy, as I think a lot of parents are annoyed to have their house filled with silly plastic stuff.  And of course the little twins got their own little bags too.

See how to put these fanciful goody bags together, here. Want to see more? Start following House of Anais or start your own OnSugar blog. It's easy, it's free, and we just might feature your content on our site.

Hi all, they are from the Japanese chain called Daiso and were only $1.50 each - great price considering that paper bags are almost the same and will not last very long! I just checked their website, and they have 11 stores in US,but all are either in California or Washington, no online sales unfortunately.

Hi Deborah, they are from the Japanese chain called Daiso and were only $1.50 each - Daiso has quite a few stores around SF area, but not sure about the rest of the country. Great price considering that paper bags are almost the same and will not last very long!
