Facebook Supports Child With Glasses

Mom Turns to Facebook to Get Her Son to Wear His Glasses

When Lindsey Fisher told her son Noah that he had to wear glasses, he burst into tears. The 4-year-old worried that other kids would make fun of him and call him mean names. To ease Noah's fears and show him that glasses are actually cool, Lindsey turned to Facebook. She created the page Glasses for Noah, where she asked people to post pictures of themselves wearing glasses. What started off as a few family and friends showing support has turned into a viral campaign of sorts, with the page hosting 47,018 likes as of this morning. Hundreds have posted to the page reminding Noah that a lot of people wear glasses, even superheroes like Batman, and that he should be proud of his specs.

To see how Noah reacted to the support, read the full story on The Stir.
