Chuck E. Cheese's is known as the kid-party mecca — hosting your child's birthday there is like a rite of passage — but what happened at one Connecticut location has shocked us enough into making us want to take a bit of a break from the famed establishment.
The above video shows a brawl that erupted last Sunday between 12 people — witnesses say the fight began after one woman bumped into another — which led to multiple 911 calls from both the staff and other guests. During the fight, a 1-year-old was knocked down without injury, and a 4-year-old suffered some minor scrapes and bruises. Luckily, no other children were harmed, and no one was seriously injured. No arrests have been made, and the police are still searching for suspects, as one of the groups involved left before the officers arrived.
Chuck E. Cheese's released a statement following the incident: "We work really hard to make sure we provide a wholesome, safe environment for our guests and their children. Unfortunately some things are out of our control, but we follow a really strict process to ensure the safety of all our guests and cast members."
