i'm a party planner and i love doing kids birthdays. right now im in the midst of planning a super hero party for 12 5-year-olds.the key really is to structure the party loosely and then go with whatever activity the kids enjoy the most! the last party i did was an 'idol' theme for a bunch of 9 year old girls. i bring a karaoke machine to that party and i swear if the party hadn't ended because their parents were there to pick them up, those girls would have been at it all night!

Loot bags will make the children happiest! I personally picked candies in different shapes and the cutest toys for my kid's parties.
